Perch Proshyan (1837-1907) wrote dramas, sketches, novels.
He translated into the Azerbaijani language of the Russian poetry classics. In Proshyan's
historical prose is represented the national liberation fight of the Armenian
people. However, its works are dragged too out, abound with unnecessary
retreats, have an unnatural outcome. Nevertheless its novels represent
considerable social and ethnographic interest.
