On the XXX Olympic Games in London the Armenia team was
represented by 25 athletes in 10 sports. Following the results of performances
three medals went to Yerevan: silver and bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling and
bronze in weightlifting. In boxing Armenia didn't win the Olympic glory. Though
three participants of the Olympic Games - the ethnic Armenians playing for
Russian national teams and Belarus, also won three Olympic awards.
On November 30, 2012 the state enterprise of post service "Haypost"
issued a series of 3 values in strip devoted to participation of the Armenian
athletes on Olympic Games in London. The issue is printed in mini sheet of 2 sets
in artly decorating sheetlet. On sheet margins are presented the sports from
the Olympic program.
