02.12.2012 Belarus. On the seventh heaven

In news from January, 2nd, 2012 the website "UkraFil" informed about the Byelorussian postage issue dated for start of the first Belarus space vehicle "BelKA". In 2006 the start of the Russian carrier rocket from the cosmodrome Baykonur has come to the end unsuccessfully, the Belarus satellite has been lost. The triumphal introduction into prestigious club of world space powers should be postponed till the best times and the published stamp to destroy.

.

The postage issue with satellite "BelKA" image was preceded by thorough ideological and creative preparation of scientists-advisers and artists. Start of the first space vehicle should look, as logic continuation of merits of the Belarus cosmonauts during the Soviet period. Therefore in March 2006 the post of Belarus had been published a special stamp and the prestamped cover devoted to the 25 anniversary of the longest at that point in time stay at an orbiting station "Salute-6" of cosmonauts V. Kovalyonok and V. Savinyh.

However, initially "Belpochta" planned to publish the personal stamp devoted to ethnic Byelorussian Vladimir Kovalyonok for which weeds together with Victor Savinyh in 1981 was the second long expedition on station "Salute". But to time before "the main start" remains a little and consequently it was necessary to be limited to only special art envelope.

On July, 27th, 2006 at the Minsk main post office in an anticipation of news from the cosmodrome Baykonur pending pined both collectors, and post workers. The issue published in art mini sheet of 8 values should go on sale at 13 o'clock. For it the special envelope and stamp of the First Day has been prepared, but.... There were serious and reticent people in the civilian and have taken away with itself all philatelic material both all financial and information documentation, concerning the planned issue. Finita la comedia (the play is over).
For today, on doubtful hearings, it is known about existence of specimens of "BelKA" stamp: one perforated and one imperforated sheetlets with mark "Sample" on the turnaround glutinous party.

In the near future - end of March - beginning of April, 2012, Belarus again will try to get the satellite in space. It’s planned to start space vehicle "BelKA-2" which will be put into orbit by the Russian carrier rocket "Sojuz" and start drive module "Frigate". Designers are assured that the new Belarus satellite will be more reliable, easier and fortune then previous. And philatelists need to hope only that second "Squirrel" will be not comprehended by a tragical fate of the predecessor and the Belarus philately will replenish with a long-awaited space plot.
