Approximately a year ago sometimes to the collectors are started coming unusual Estonian stamps - overprints of black color on "Own stamp" of Estonia of various issues.  The stamps so reminded amateur "self-made" that initially collectors, without reflecting, took them as the next fantasy having relation neither to mail, nor to philately.  On the one hand that fact guarded them that images on stamps were unostentatiously primitive.  Most often it is logos, announcements, advertizing or photos.  On the other hand, the Estonian post reported nothing about the edition of overprints or any other similar issue.

Since April, 2012, in reply to numerous inquiries of the most persistent philatelists employees of the state enterprise "Eesti Post" began to admit ambiguously in broken Russian existence and legitimate use in a post circulation of strange overprints.

"I will try to explain. The Estonian mail issued 3 times a stamp „My Stamp“. M355 of face value 4,40 EEK. M373 of face value 5,50 EEK. M408 of face value 9,00 EEK. Now we reprinted on these kroon face values a new EUR face values, but an official issue didn't make and these reprinted face values could be used Since 01.11.2011 to 29.03.2012".

So, in translation into the clear Russian languege on issues "Own stamp" 2006, 2007 and 2008 the Estonian post put a new overprints, higher face values and within five months somewhere and somehow them sold.

At the same time, at additional expense, the Estonian post rendering services of the printing of individual images on signs of post payment. Possibly, a similar service was available to any wishing. However, owing to low knowledge of the philatelic population, has the luck to use opportunities of "Estonian Own stamp" the littles.

On issue of 2006 is made the overprint of the face value 0.45 Euros. The post face value 1.00 Euros is made on issue of 2007. And at last the "My stamp" 2008 was decorated by the price of 1.10 Euros. Not too variously, but it is typical on Estonian chilly, specifically and without an excess sentimentality.

As "Eesti post" doesn't consider this edition as separate post issue, concrete data on overprints are extremely limited. Unknown still have their exact edition, the period of the real post circulation. And, the main thing, true motives by which the Estonian stamp functionaries were guided, publishing similar production. Probably, about it already anybody never learns. Soul of the Estonian is darkness. It isn't without reason spoken "Still waters run deep".
