On February 9, 2013 the enterprise of post service "Kyrgyzmarkasy" will present a traditional postage issue on subject "New Year by the Eastern calendar". In circulation will arrive a postage stamp designating an Year of the snake arrival.
Year 2013 belongs to the Black Snake. As the snake is often identified with wisdom, Year of the Snake promises all zodiac signs success in intellectual activity, fair wise decisions and the thought-over far-sighted acts.

The issue is printed in perforation and imperforation version in mini sheet of 6 values with decorating margins.

In 2001 the Kyrgyzstan post celebrated Year of the White Snake by postage issue as perforated and imperforated options. But last time the publishers placed on label all representatives of the Chinese calendar who then serially for 12 years appeared on postage issues, creating thereby a full zodiac cycle. With new issue the serpentine tape named "Chinese New Year" starts twisted anew.
