06.18.2013 Kyrgyzstan. The Sacred Mountain

At the civilization beginning the mountain Sulaiman-Tooh had cult value. According to the legend Zarathustra lived in one of its caves and well-known "Avesta" was written exactly here. A legend says once at mountain top prayed the prophet Sulaiman. On a stone plate for ever there were traces from his knees and forehead.
On June 22, 2013 the Kyrgyzstan post plans to introduce into circulation a postage stamp devoted to the unique object of the UNESCO cultural heritage to the sacred mountain Sulaiman-Tooh ("Solomon’s Throne") - the most ancient monument of the
Kyrgyz history and culture, a source of spiritual clarification of the people.


The issue is printed in perforated and imperforated version in sheetlet of 6 values with decorating margins.

Size of stamp: 40 x 28 mm
Size of sheetlet: 115 x 110 mm.

It’s known that the sacred mountain possesses a miracle force. At its top any person can address to Supreme and his entreaties will be heard.  Here only to top the insuperable "track of tests" conducts.
Mountain foot Sulaiman Too richly on historical monuments: Ravat-Abdullakhan's mosque (the XVII-XVIII centuries), mosque Mohammed Yousaf Baykhodzhi-Ogly (1909), Asaph ibn Bukhrya Mausoleum (XI-XVII centuries).
