Last year the Seimas of Lithuania adopted the law according
to which 2013 is proclaimed year of revolt 1863. The Lithuania post planned an
issue postage stamp which, according to the plan of post editions, will arrive
into circulation on March 23, 2013.

The January revolt of 1863 is a armed performance of the
Polish nobility for separation from the Russian Empire and restoration of
independence of the Polish state - Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in borders of
1772, the covering territory of modern Belarus, Ukraine and Lithuania. On
northwest lands of the Russian Empire (modern Belarus and Lithuania) the groups
of Polish nobility are directed by Vikenti Kalinovsky.
