2013 is declared in Moldova the Year of children's writer
Spiridon Vangeli - author of numerous miniatures, fairy tales and ballads. The
current classic of Moldovan literature on 14 July celebrats the 81. On June 1, 2013,
in the International Children's Day, the Moldova post introduced
into circulation a set of 2 values devoted to the most known literary
collection of the S. Vangeli - the Gugutse stories.
On stamps are presented the I. Vieru and O. Taregunge’s illustrations
to stories " Gugutse cap" and "Gugutse debt".
The issue is printed in 2 mini sheets of 10 sets with decorating margins. Designer - Vitaly Pogolsa. Edition of set - 100 000 copies.
Spiridon Vangeli's books about Gugutse are translated into
40 languages, published in 70 countries of the world and noted by many Soviet
and international awards on children's literature. In 2012 the book "Gugutse
adventures" is nominated for Astrid Lindgren international literary award.
