On June 18, 2013 the Russian post throughout the series
"Coats of Arms of the Russian Federation cities" introduces into
circulation a definitive set of 2 values with images of the Aleksandrov city and
Kazan city historical coats of arms.
The postage definitive issue is printed in 2 sheetlets of 30 values, in 2 booklets of 10 values and in 2 booklets of 20 values. Design: A. Povarikhin. Size of stamp: 18.5 х 26 mm. Editions: face value 10.0 R - 780 000 copies. face value 14.25 R - 1,11 million copies.
The Aleksandrov's coat of arms represents: in the top part there
is a coat of arms Vladimir, in bottom - on red field metalwork vice and two
anvils on the parties, designating that this city metalwork works are
performed. The Kazan coat of arms represents a black dragon with dark
red wings and language, with gold paws, claws and the eyes, topped with a gold
crown on the green earth in a silver field. The board is topped with the Kazan
cap. Under heraldic laws the dragon symbolizes himself power, wisdom and
invincibility, the earth - life and wealth, a crown - development, a cap over a
board - the capital status of the city.
