In the news "Abdullah's tenth wife" published on
October 2, 2012 the website UkraFil informed about the Tajik post issue devoted
to the Olympic Games in London. Some months later there was a need to return to
this subject as the situation with a postage issue was much more difficult,
than it was represented initially.
On eve of the opening of Summer Olympic Games in London on
July 26, 2012 the Tajikistan post issued a memorable issue devoted to the tajik
olympians. Dark blue and black overprints "Точикистон иштирокчий олимпиадаи Лондон
2012" were put on postage block
of Tajikistan 2003. The post functionaries, seeking to be in time to the
Olympic Games opening day, hastened so that production published by them was
spoiled: poor quality of images, the rough texts, don’t printed letters, the
colors transformed from light blue to the blue-violet.
The black overprint turned out so nasty, possibly double or
the threefold print that to read the Tajik text entirely have seen as a problem
even for experts in the field of scientific cryptography.
To correct the allowed lapse the Dushanbe bureaucrats
decided not to regret two thousand more blocks which have stale in a warehouse
and to make a reprint of the Olympic overprints. Again they were of blue and
black colors. From the second time everything passed rather smoothly. Quality
of prints turned out accepted. The new edition appeared on sale at the end of
October and almost completely replaced with itself the first option.
However, to collectors not became easier from it. Now they
should identify two full-fledged editions, without considering versions and
damages. What as the first issue to consider, and what is typographical garbage
it is necessary to guess only. And how we can to collect full of these issues?
The question is similar to short dialogue of cult characters of a known Soviet
western "The white sun of the desert": - Where took? - Long ago we sit here...
