The Tajik post amused again. On April 11, 2013 in the post
circulation there was a set of 3 values devoted to the British and American
breeds of cats. The issue is printed in 3 mini sheets of 9 values and label
in perforated and imperforated versions. The postage issue is prepared traditionally in hurry. The
publishers were too lazy "to bother" with images, copied pictures
from web, printed at the Belarusian printing plant and... Buy, didn't
fall in price yet! Only again there was a small funny thing: names
of cat's breeds on two stamps from three were mixed.
Laperm (inscription on stamp Maine-Coon) is a long-haired
reks cat breed, the main which distinctive feature is existence of "a
curly-headed fur coat". The history of breed began in 1982 on a farm
near the city of Dallas, the State of Oregon. The representatives of this
breed are tender, inquisitive and active, great hunters. Behind their wool
is required a regular leaving.
Maine-Coon (inscription on stamp Laperm) is the native breed
which has occurred from cats, living on farms of North East America in the
State of Maine. The name of breed is literally translated, as "a raccoon
of Maine". The gentle and good-natured, strong, brawny giants making impression
of a wild, strong cat both showing a natural power.
British short-haired cat is delivered in USA from
Great Britain at the beginning of the 1900th years and officially recognized
only in 1970. There are happens blue and black colours. Despite courageous
appearance they are tender and possess easy temper. Well get on with other pets
and children.
On label which is identical to all stamps is represented the
American curl. The breed appeared in 1981 in Lakeland (USA), then in 1995 in Great Britain. It
possesses a strong body with the smooth lines, an open nice muzzle and funny
curled ears. He has a soft wool, silky to the touch.
