One more national pride of Turkmens are a falcon - baloban and the hound Tazy an unseparable couple of the falconry participants - the tradition tracing the roots back deeply to an antiquity. The falcon is a  perfect creation for hunting. Tazy is ideally adapted for severe conditions of the desert.
On February 4, 2013 the Turkmenistan post introduced into circulation a postage Block of 3 values named “Falconry“ printed by edition of 10 thousand copies.  The face value of stamp is the letter “T” - means Tazy.

In the Kara Kum sands the falconry is inconceivable without Tazy. For the Turkmen the good borzoi is, first of all, ability of a dog harmoniously to work with a falcon. Tazy is the unique dog brought by far ancestors the Turkmen. Such breed isn't present more anywhere in the world as there is also no similar practice when the falcon and a dog work in close contact. Not casually silhouettes Tazy and a falcon are placed in an ornament of the most ancient Turkmen carpets.
Nearly a half of the life - 8-9 years Tazy works together with falcon. Falcon age several times more long is 35-40 years. However in five-six years of "service" Balobans set free because they have to bring posterity, raise baby birds. This ancient tradition, the extremely rare in the world, is dictated by understanding of a debt of the person before the nature.
