As result of an aggravation of social contradictions in
Russia of the end XI – the beginning of the XII century and as result of
national excitements of 1113
in Kiev the Prince Vladimir Vsevolodovich issued the law
known under the name Monomakh Charter. The law had the purpose to remove stress
in society, to relieve it of contentions and the collisions threatening to the
existence of the Kiev community. Vladimir Monomakh charter is included in vast
edition of "The Russian truth". On February 22, 2013 the Ukrainian
post will introduce into circulation a postage block dated for the 900th anniversary
of the Charter of the Kiev Prince Vladimir Monomakh.

The postage Block executed in the Byzantine style
corresponds to art style of that time. On the block the prince and the clerk,
at the left the female image representing the people, on the right – a
soldier - defender of the earth and the people are presented. The
composition is made also by an image of army against the Kiev cathedrals which
were constructed during this period.
