In 2002 for the first time in the sovereign Ukraine history the
Ukrainian grand master Ruslan Ponomarev became the world champion in chess
among men according to the version of FIDE. With a postage issue to the general
chorus of congratulations to the grand master from Gorlovka (Donetsk region) joined
also the Ukrainian post.
Exactly ten years later is a new success of the Ukrainian
chess school. 27-year-old Anna Ushenina from Kharkov became the fifteenth world
champion in chess among women. In the ending of world chess championship in
Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia) the Ukrainian woman won a victory over Antoaneta
Stefanova from Bulgaria.
From the moment of finding of Ukraine independence Anna
Ushenina became the first Ukrainian champion in chess among women. To it only
once in 1950 a
chess crown the native of the city of Lubny (Poltava region) Lyudmila Rudenko
who became the second in the history of chess and the first world champion
among the Soviet chess players possessed.
On the final game way Anna Ushenina beat Cory Deysi -
the Peruvian, the ex-Ukrainian, Slovenia representative Anna Muzichuk, the Russians
Natalia Pogonina and Nadezhda Kosintseva and also the Chinese woman Tszyuy
Ventszyun.
With congratulations to the Chess Queen addressed the
President of Ukraine. By the Cabinet of Ministers resolution to the champion
will write out a monetary award. As the Ukrainian post this time it stores
sacral silence. The "Ukrposhta's" general director probably as female
jealousy ignored the success of more eminent compatriot.
Thanks to the enthusiasts of the Kiev club, the achievement
of the Ukrainian chess player would remain forever lost for philately.
Thanks to opportunities of the “Photo stamp” project the postage issue is made in
5 various miniatures with the image of the Chess Queen - "the Komsomol
member, sportswomen and simply beauties".
The plots are printed on five different sheets of "Photo
stamp": 2007 "Kiev Pechersk Lavra", "We wish good
luck", "Flowers", 2008 "Congratulation" and 2010
"Petrikovsk painting".
All above-mentioned sheets are from the second type edition
- with protection by ultra-violet paint drawing of six-place number on label or
sheet margin.
Anna Ushenina didn't wait for favor by nature and realized
the talent in real sports result - the Champion's title. The Kiev club collectors
also don't expect favor from the inert "Ukrposhta’s" officials.
Thanks to creative thinking and resource "Photo stamp" they realize
own ideas and embody them in philatelic production, which marks achievements of
sportsmen-Olympians, football players, chess players making glory and pride of the
new Ukraine.
On November 21, 2012 on the official website of the State
Space Agency of Ukraine there was a message: "On November 19, 2012 in Kiev, in the State
space agency of Ukraine opened the exhibition devoted to the 15th anniversary
of flight in space of the first astronaut of Ukraine of Leonid Konstantinovich
Kadenyuk onboard the American Colombia spaceship. Especially for the 15
anniversary of Leonid Konstantinovich Kadenyuk flight the entreprise "Ukrpochta's"
was issued and canceled a memorable stamp".
According to the written petition of Space agency to
"Ukrposhta's" guide our dear scientists very much would like to print
memorable stamp to anniversary of flight of the first astronaut of Independent
Ukraine and to make a postage cancel for carrying out special
cancelation. The image for this stamp was attached. To refuse a
request of so serious and significant organization it was represented
inadmissible.
Thanks to "printing development in the West" and
to technologies of "Photo stamp" any whim of dear customer is
executed in short terms. As for a special cancel, the "Ukrposhta" was
powerless there. To make a cancel within one day theoretically probably, but to
be fooled by this problem nobody wanted. However, the Agency didn't insist on a
cancel. The exhibition organizers bought some tens pure envelopes, stuck on
them the ordered stamps and extinguished them own "cancel" - the
office press "For documents". Such souvenirs for guests and participants of an exhibition were
prepared by meeting organizers.
Spoiled there was practically all issue edition ordered by
Agency in "Ukrposhta". However, some copies of sheets of
"unique space stamp" were rescued from barbarous intervention of
"space Papuans". E-shop "Ukrafil" is the only
owner of the special postage issue devoted to anniversary of flight of the
Ukrainian astronaut as a part of the international crew onboard the American
spaceship.

Exactly during two years, since December, 2010, the

collectors to suffer in guesses about further destiny of Turkmen philately. At
last, the vow of silence is removed. November and December 2012 promise to
become the rather generous on Turkmenistan postage issues. On December 5, 2012 in Ashkhabad opens the Meeting of heads of
the CIS states. The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan prepares the
substantial philatelic program: four big size blocks for this important

The Ukrainian non-state TV company "Odessa" is the
only television resource of the former USSR which regularly acquaints the spectator
audience with novelties of philately of the Post-Soviet republics. Yesterday,
on September 27, 2012, the journalistic group of the “Odessa” TV channel
removed a plot at the central post office of Tiraspol (Transnistria capital)
about a presentation of the new issue of the post of Transnistria devoted to
the European Football Championship of 2012 in Ukraine/Poland. The announcement of the
postage release is placed on a website "Ukrafil" in news of September
26.
For the first days of the postage issue the state enterprise
"Stamp of Transnistria" published an artly covers and prepared a First
Day cancel to which all got access wishing with own hand to make a postage
souvenirs for collection.
These are the first football stamps of Transnistria and the
first postage issue printed on Publishing house "Belarusian House
Printing" in Belarus.. Good reserve for the future. Website “UkraFil” and TV
channel “Odessa“ continue to watch closely the philatelic events developed on
coast of Dnestr.
